Who We Are

CamGig ("CamGig", "we", "our", or "us") is a digital platform that connects businesses and employers with individuals seeking gig, shift-based, part-time, or full-time work opportunities.

This Privacy Policy describes how CamGig collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects personal information when you use our services.

⚠️ POC / Early Access Notice

CamGig is currently operating in a Pilot / Proof-of-Concept (POC) phase. During this phase, certain features may be limited, modified, or unavailable.

At this stage, CamGig does not process, facilitate, or hold payments between users. Any payments related to jobs, gigs, or employment opportunities are handled directly between Companies and Seekers outside of the platform.

CamGig is not a party to, and is not responsible for, any payment transactions, disputes, or financial arrangements between users during this phase.

Payment integration (including third-party providers such as ABA PayWay) may be introduced in future versions of the platform. This Privacy Policy may be updated accordingly when such features become available.

  • The CamGig website
  • Mobile applications
  • Employer and company dashboards
  • Messaging, recruitment, and marketplace features
  • AI-powered recommendation and analytics features
  • Any other services operated by CamGig that reference this Privacy Policy

  • Seeker Accounts (job seekers and gig workers)
  • Company Accounts (employers, recruiters, and businesses)
  • Individuals who communicate with us or use our services

1. Information We Collect

We collect various types of personal information ("Personal Information") when you interact with our Services, including through the CamGig mobile application, website, and related features.

1.1 Information You Provide

1.1.1 Account Types

CamGig supports different types of user accounts, including:

  • Seeker Accounts (Individuals): Users who create profiles to discover, apply for, and participate in gigs or employment opportunities.
  • Company Accounts (Businesses / Employers): Organizations or individuals acting on behalf of a business to post gigs, hire seekers, and manage workforce activities.

1.1.2 General Information

When you register, create a profile, or interact with the Services, we may collect the following:

  • Account Information: Full name, gender, date of birth, address, and contact information (such as email address and phone number), as well as login credentials (such as password). You may also provide a profile photo, username, and other identifying details.
  • Profile Information: Information you choose to include in your profile, such as biography, skills, work experience, education, certifications, availability, job preferences, and portfolio or media content. This information helps improve matching between seekers and opportunities.
  • User Content: Content you create, upload, or share on the platform, including reviews, ratings, feedback, job applications, portfolio submissions, and other materials.
  • Communication: Information contained in messages or communications between users or with CamGig, including customer support inquiries, feedback submissions, and in-app messaging content. We may retain these communications for service improvement, dispute resolution, safety, and compliance purposes.

1.1.3 Additional Information for Company Accounts

If you register or operate as a Company Account, we may also collect:

  • Company Information: Company name, business type, registered address, contact details (such as email address and phone number), and, where applicable, business registration or licensing information.
  • Company Profile Information: Information you include in your company profile, such as company description, branding assets (e.g., logo), business category, and other relevant details to present your organization to seekers.
  • Company Content: Content created or uploaded by Company accounts, including job or gig postings, candidate interactions, reviews, ratings, and other related materials.

We may use this information to verify business legitimacy, prevent fraud, and improve trust and safety on the platform.

1.2 Information We Collect Automatically

We may automatically collect certain information when you access or use our Services. This information helps us operate, maintain, secure, and improve the platform.

  • IP Address: Used to identify your general location, enhance security, and support fraud prevention.
  • Device and Technical Information: Information about the device you use to access the Services, including device type, operating system, browser type, device identifiers, and general configuration details.
  • Usage and Interaction Data: Information about how you interact with the Services, including pages viewed, features used, search queries, clicks, navigation paths, and actions taken within the platform.
  • Log and Activity Data: Records of system activity, including timestamps, login and logout times, access logs, and other activity records generated through your use of the Services.
  • Performance and Diagnostic Data: Information related to system performance, errors, crashes, and debugging data, which helps us monitor stability and improve the reliability of the Services.

1.3 Location Data

Subject to your device settings and permissions, CamGig may collect approximate or precise location information.

  • Approximate Location: Derived from information such as your IP address.
  • Precise Location: Collected from your device's GPS or similar technologies when you grant permission.

We may use location information to:

  • Match users with nearby jobs, gigs, and opportunities
  • Improve search relevance and recommendations
  • Enhance user experience and platform functionality
  • Support safety, fraud prevention, and platform integrity

Unless otherwise stated within the application, CamGig does not collect location information while the application is closed or running in the background.

Location information is used primarily for platform operations and matching purposes. Employers and recruiters may have access to location information where it is displayed within the platform or otherwise necessary to facilitate job matching, hiring, or gig opportunities.

Users may control, limit, or revoke location permissions at any time through their device settings.

1.4 Social Media Data

We may collect information when you interact with CamGig through social media platforms such as LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, or similar services.

This may include:

  • Public profile information
  • Content you make publicly available
  • Interactions with our pages, posts, or advertisements

We process such information in accordance with this Privacy Policy and the applicable policies of the respective social media platforms.

2. How We Use Personal Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes, based on applicable legal grounds, including contractual necessity, user consent, legitimate interests, and compliance with legal obligations:

  • To Provide and Maintain Services: To operate, deliver, and maintain CamGig, including ensuring functionality, security, reliability, and platform availability.
  • Marketplace Operations: To enable interactions between seekers and companies, including profile creation, visibility, job or gig matching, applications, candidate discovery, and hiring-related activities.
  • Communication: To communicate with you regarding your account, platform activity, updates, service announcements, and security alerts, as well as to respond to your inquiries and support requests.
  • Marketing (with Consent): To send you promotional materials, updates, or offers where you have provided consent. You may opt out at any time.
  • Service Improvement: To analyse usage patterns, interactions, and system performance in order to improve features, functionality, design, and overall user experience.
  • Personalisation & Recommendations: To provide tailored recommendations of jobs, gigs, or candidates using automated systems and algorithms based on your profile, activity, preferences, and interactions. These systems may influence the visibility, ranking, and relevance of jobs, gigs, and user profiles within the platform.
  • Fraud Prevention and Safety: To detect, prevent, investigate, and address fraud, abuse, unauthorised access, and violations of our Terms of Use, and to protect users and the platform.
  • Legal Compliance: To comply with applicable laws, regulations, legal processes, and governmental requests, and to enforce our legal rights.

We may also aggregate or anonymise information so that it can no longer be used to identify you, and use such data for analytics, research, and lawful business purposes.

3. Marketplace & User Interaction

CamGig operates as an intermediary platform that connects seekers and companies and is not a direct party to agreements between users.

To enable hiring, recruitment, and marketplace functionality, certain information may be visible to other users of the platform.

By using our Services:

  • Seeker Profiles: Information such as name, profile photo, skills, qualifications, work experience, education, portfolio content, ratings, reviews, and application-related information may be visible to Company accounts.
  • Company Profiles: Information such as company name, profile details, branding content, ratings, reviews, and job or gig postings may be visible to Seekers.
  • Information Sharing for Interaction: Certain contact or interaction-related information may be shared between users where necessary to facilitate communication, hiring, and engagement through the platform.
  • User Communications: Users may communicate through platform features such as messaging or other tools. These communications may be stored and processed for purposes including safety, moderation, customer support, fraud prevention, and dispute handling.

The following information is not shared with other users through the platform:

  • Passwords and authentication credentials
  • Payment credentials or full payment card information
  • Identity verification documents, except where required by law or with your consent
  • Internal security, fraud prevention, or account protection information

⚠ User Responsibility: You are responsible for the information you choose to make public or share with other users through the platform.

⚠ Third-Party Interactions: CamGig does not control and is not responsible for how other users use, store, or share the information you choose to provide to them.

⚠ No Guarantee: CamGig does not guarantee the quality, safety, legality, accuracy, or performance of any jobs, gigs, companies, seekers, or other users on the platform.

4. Disclosure of Personal Information

In certain circumstances, we may share your Personal Information with third parties as described below:

  • Vendors and Service Providers: We may share your information with trusted third-party service providers who assist us in operating, delivering, maintaining, and improving the Services, such as hosting providers, cloud infrastructure, data analytics services, customer support tools, and communication platforms. These providers are authorised to use your information only as necessary to provide services to us.
  • With Your Consent: We may share your Personal Information with third parties where you have provided your explicit consent.
  • Legal Compliance: We may disclose your information where required by applicable law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or where we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, enforce our Terms of Use, ensure platform safety, or protect users and others.
  • Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, restructuring, financing, or sale of all or part of our business or assets, your Personal Information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to appropriate confidentiality safeguards.
  • Marketplace Interactions: As part of operating the platform, certain information (such as profiles, job or gig postings, and communications) may be shared between seekers and companies to enable hiring, collaboration, and interaction within the Services.

We do not sell your Personal Information to third parties.

5. International Data Transfers

Your information may be stored and processed in countries other than your own. If you access our Services from outside our primary operating country, your Personal Information may be transferred across international borders.

We take appropriate measures to ensure that such transfers comply with applicable data protection laws and that your Personal Information remains protected, including through the use of contractual safeguards and secure processing practices.

Where required, we implement appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses for international data transfers.

6. Children's Privacy

CamGig is not intended for individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect or solicit Personal Information from anyone under 18 years of age.

If you are under 18, you must not use or access our Services or provide any Personal Information to us.

We may implement age verification measures to prevent individuals under 18 from accessing our Services.

If we become aware that we have collected Personal Information from a user under the age of 18 without appropriate verification or consent, we will take steps to delete such information as soon as possible.

If you believe that a person under 18 has provided us with their Personal Information, please contact us so that we can take appropriate action.

7. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your Personal Information against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

Our security measures may include, where appropriate:

  • Encryption of data transmitted between users and our systems using industry-standard protocols

  • Fraud detection and abuse prevention systems

We restrict access to Personal Information to authorised personnel who need it to operate, develop, or improve our Services.

However, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your Personal Information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

We retain your Personal Information only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy, including providing and improving the Services, complying with legal obligations, resolving disputes, and enforcing our agreements.

Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information and its purpose, including:

  • Account Information: Retained while your account remains active and for a reasonable period after account closure where necessary for legal, security, fraud prevention, or operational purposes.
  • Profile Information: Retained until it is deleted by you, removed by CamGig, or no longer required for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.
  • Identity Verification Information: Retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for identity verification, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, platform safety, legal compliance, and enforcement of our agreements.
  • Communications and Support Records: Retained for customer support, dispute resolution, safety, moderation, and operational purposes.
  • System Logs and Security Records: Retained for a limited period to maintain system security, detect and investigate incidents, prevent fraud, and comply with legal obligations.

When your Personal Information is no longer required, we will securely delete, anonymise, or dispose of it in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

In certain circumstances, we may retain information for longer periods where required or permitted by law, or for legitimate business purposes such as fraud prevention, record-keeping, and enforcement of our rights.

You may request deletion of your Personal Information as described in the "Your Rights and Choices" section.

Depending on your location and applicable laws, you may have certain rights regarding your Personal Information. These may include:

  • Access: You may request access to the Personal Information we hold about you.
  • Correction: You may request that we correct or update inaccurate or incomplete information.
  • Deletion: You may request that we delete your Personal Information, subject to certain legal obligations.
